Hi, I’m Allie.

I’m a queer and AuDHD writer with a hyper-fixation on inclusivity and representation. I love the color purple, Michigan football, the Detroit Lions, and the Boston Bruins. When I’m not absorbed by a book, I like to watch sports and spend time with my nephews.

A San Diego, CA native now residing in South Carolina, I am allergic to the cold, rain, snow, and mosquitos.

Tripped Up

an enemies to lovers, best friend’s brother, second chance hockey romance

Austin Aces Hockey Club... where sworn enemies become lovers… on and off the ice.

Wyatt Whitney is an asshole of epic proportions, and not just because I slept with him a decade ago.

I’ve come to Austin for a fresh start after an epically awful breakup. The last thing I want is for my best friend to ask her hockey superstar brother to look out for me. It’s made worse by the fact that she has no idea we hooked up, or that he clearly doesn’t remember me. Whenever we’ve been in the same room, he acts like he has no idea who I am. Guess what my ex said must be true: I’m boring and bad in bed.

The brooding brawler is angry and hurt since being traded days after winning the Cup last season. The last thing he wants is to babysit me, and he’s not shy about keeping it a secret.

When I need a date for the symphony’s fall fundraising gala, I’m surprised when he sweeps in to rescue me, showing off to all of my coworkers. And he doesn’t even make any snarky comments!

Could the Wyatt Whitney I’ve hated all these years actually be a decent human being? Worse — could I actually be falling for him, all over again?

  • I also adored the couple's appearance reflected real people rather than the supermodel perfect we get in most romances. Arielle and Asher had me squeeing almost the entire time.

  • PUMP FAKE defies clichés and surprises readers with its honest portrayal of complex emotions and the unpredictability of life and love. The writing is sharp, witty, and poignant...

  • Allie Lasky did an amazing job writing about the mental health and disease representation.

  • Despite the apparently fluffiness this is a pretty hard hitting romance novel. It explores big themes (autistic relationships, loving yourself) that progress naturally.

  • There is some beautiful rep in here including gorgeously and lushly written Jewish rep, realistic neurodivergent rep and beautifully described bisexual rep that was very deeply and respectfully discussed by the characters in their steamy and super consensual bedroom scenes.

  • Allie Lasky did a fantastic job representing illnesses that we have to live with, and despite the fact that Jared was healthy otherwise, he had one, and managed it very well. I loved how mental health was brought to light, and not shown as something entirely wrong, but being able to cope with it in this day.
