I also adored the couple's appearance reflected real people rather than the supermodel perfect we get in most romances. Arielle and Asher had me squeeing almost the entire time.

Despite the apparently fluffiness this is a pretty hard hitting romance novel. It explores big themes (autistic relationships, loving yourself) that progress naturally.

There is some beautiful rep in here including gorgeously and lushly written Jewish rep, realistic neurodivergent rep and beautifully described bisexual rep that was very deeply and respectfully discussed by the characters in their steamy and super consensual bedroom scenes.

Allie Lasky did a fantastic job representing illnesses that we have to live with, and despite the fact that Jared was healthy otherwise, he had one, and managed it very well. I loved how mental health was brought to light, and not shown as something entirely wrong, but being able to cope with it in this day.
